Introduction
The eLit Prefetch client is a standalone application which will provide Judges/Registrars with a means to access the case files in an offline mode without logging into eLit application. This also will be useful at times when there is any network connectivity issue and eLit system is unable to access the case files.The Island Mode will display a list of cases to be heard by the Judges/Registrar in the coming week.
This user guide will cover the info on the configuration of the prefetch job.
1) The above eLit prefetch main screen will be launched automatically during system startup. You may minimise it so that the prefetch job is running at the background or click on the “Exit” button to cancel the job.
2) Please enter your User ID and set the start time(24hrs format) for system to perform the automatic downloading of the prefetch documents on daily basis.
3) Once the User ID and start time have been entered, please click on the “Save” button to save the settings.
4) If you prefer to trigger the manual downloading of prefetch documents instantly, please click on the “Download” button.
5) When the downloading is still in progress, all buttons except “Exit” will be disabled. There is message at the footer to reflect the downloading status. You may click on the “Exit” button to cancel the downloading.
6) Upon completion of the downloading, please click on the “Island Mode” button to activate the prefetch index page. It should include all case files of your hearings to be conducted in a week.The hyperlinks of the Case No. and Document Title will enable you to launch the respective case file and documents.
Points to take note:
• Your PC should be powered on during the time of downloading.
• All eForms will be converted into PDFs and the eForm attachments will be appended to the PDFs.
• Please perform the first downloading after office hours (> 7pm) in order not to cause any disruption to the system performance. The first downloading will take a much longer time to cover all documents of cases to be heard in a week. It may take 2-4 hours dependent on the volume of documents and their file sizes. Subsequent daily downloading will include documents for the last day of hearing and the delta filings for cases downloaded earlier.
• If there is any issue with the prefetch client, please click on the “Exit” button and relaunch the application again.
