Request to online access
1. What if there was a new filing by the opposing counsel three years later? Will it reactivate the online access automatically for the law firm? How will that law firm see the new filing?
CL>LF can still proceed with new filing, the new filing will be accessible in the Document Tab, however, those already archived document will still remain archived, law firm who want to access archived document will still need to file REQUEST TO RESTORE ONLINE ACCESS. For example, u may see in some FE case where old document are non-hyperlink, but newer document are accessible in FE document tab. This mean that law firm did not file REQUEST TO RESTORE ONLINE ACCESS for those archived document, but just continue to file new documents.
Example:
2. Assuming the law firm has to file a Notice to Discharge themselves, must they first seek to restore the online access or they can just file in? CL> Not required, they can just file ‘Notice to Discharge’
3. Is there any fee for the request to restore online access? CL> zero fees
4. For the portion in yellow, what type of information will the law firm have access to? CL> all info in the respective tabs below as always.

Edit “Unrepresented”
As a general behaviour of FE filing, “Unrepresented” party is always editable in any document, because it is possible to edit the party details of “Unrepresented” party in any document, for example, if you randomly file any type of document, you will notice clicking on any “Unrepresented” party name in Step 1 will always open up the Edit Party screenshot and this allow changing the party representation.
Only if the party is already represented by a law firm, then only certain document allow changing the represented party representation (e.g. Notice of Appointment or Notice of Change of Solicitor, Request to Add/Remove/Substitute party, etc).
For FC/D 85/2023, it is the usual scenario, the defendant’s representation is overwritten back to “Unrepresented” due to the OHHR is accepted after the NOA.
OHHR is filed at 2/26/2023 8:06:23 PM and during this filing, the defendant’s representation is “Unrepresented”, so when this document is accepted after the NOA, the representation become overwritten to “Unrepresented.”
